The Remembrance Park was dedicated in 1995 as part of the Australia Remembers 1945 - 1995 program.
There is a red granite monument on a polished red brick wall, which has bronze plaques with the names of individual ex-servicemen from the district who served in World War Two.
"Australia Remembers, 1945-1995" was a program of activities organised by the Federal Government to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two.
Note: The “Tasmanian War Memorials Data Base”, compiled by Fred Thornett which is located at the State Library of Tasmania, contains a comprehensive listing of the names on the associated monument.
