The stained glass window commemorates those who served in World War Two.
A tryptych stained glass window the centre of which shows Jesus Christ and at the foot of the cross are figures of two soldiers. The left window shows a nurse at prayer beside a sailor who has a hat in his hand. The right window shows a soldier and an airman.
The Bishop of Tasmania (Rt. Rev. G. F. Cranswick), who is visiting West Coast centres, conducted services in St. Martin's Church, Queenstown, on Sunday. At 8 a.m. he administered Holy Communion, and at 11 a.m. he confirmed 39 candidates. There were 270 persons at the confirmation service. In the afternoon the Bishop travelled to Zeehan. He returned to Queenstown yesterday to dedicate a memorial window in St. Martin's Church.
