The plaque of the Colonel Dudley Byrne Memorial Bell commemorates the officers and men who died and served with the 2nd / 7th Field Ambulance during World Two. 

Lieutenant - Colonel Dudley Byrne trained the unit to a very high level in the Northen Territory and Queensland from 1942 until December 1944, when a recurrent ankle injury terminated his front line military service.

Note : As at 28-February-2016, the bell has been stolen.
