The Memorial Gates at the church commemorate those who served in World War Two.

At the annual Vestry meeting of St. Paul's Church of England, Birmingham Gardens, the reports of the Vestry and various societies connected with the church disclosed a record. An addition to the church is to be erected shortly and other improvements carried out. Iessrs. D. McIntosh (Rector's), A. Stott and J. Preston were elected church wardens. Vestrymen elected were Messrs. G. Macphail, G. Maddocks. C. Barnes, N. Threlfell and J. Willis. It was decided to make an appeal to the public for funds to erect memorial gates and fence in memory of the men who died in the World War. Mrs. D. McIntosh was elected secretary and treasurer.
