The garden commemorates those from the district who served in World War Two. 

Funding was received in 2020/21 throught the Saluting Their Service Grant Program for the installation of sandstone blocks and two plaques to commemorate the service and sacrifice of Australia’s Indigenous and Royal Australian Air Force service personnel.
