This plaque commemorates the vital contribution made to the Australian war effort in World War II by No 1 Signals School RAAF Point Cook where thousands of RAAF, WAAF and USAAC technical personnel were trained as highly effective wireless radar and electrical mechanics and wireless operators they served with distinction throughout Australia and the South - West Pacific
