Plaque :

In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings and in memory of Arthur Hiller, who was killed at Lone Pine, August 1915.

This tree was grown from a seed of the Aleppo Pine at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, which originated from a lone pine on Plateau 400 on the Gallipoli Peninsula.

It was propagated by Fred Hillier and planted by Tim and Toby Hillier, great grandchildren of Arthur, on ANZAC Day, 1900.
