Plaque :
In 1928 a row of Cypress Pines was planted on
this site. It was in memory of those from the
Towamba district who lost their lives in the
First World War and also commemorated the
tenth anniversary of the end of the war.
These elms were planted in
2006 to replace the original pines
which stood proudly here for over
seven decades.
