The roll of honour commemorates those from the district who served in World War One.
In 1917, the President of the Blacktown Shire Council (Mr Angus) arranged to collect one shilling from the ratepayers in the Blacktown Shire for the purpose of erecting a Blacktown Roll of Honour containing the names of all men volunteering from the Shire.
