The gate commemorates those who served in World War One.
CASINO, Tuesday. Casino Hospital Board at its last meeting adopted a recommendation by the house committee for the erection of memorial entrance gates at the institution, to a plan prepared by Mr. Ash. The secretary (Mr. E. C. Rayner) reported that he had received promises of assistance towards the work, Coombell brick works having intimated that they would donate a truck load of bricks, and Mr. Pat Downey that he would construct the foundations free of cost.
