War Memorial GatesPrint Page
The gates to the sports ground commemorate those from Bothwell and District who died in service or were killed in action in World War Two and the Korean War and in appreciation of those who served.
Bothwell war memorial architect (Mr. A. Lauriston Crisp) will design two bronze plaques for the memorial gateway at the Bothwell recreation ground. Bothwell sub-branch of the R.S.L. has been asked to suggest the wording. One plaque will carry the names of Second World War dead.
The Mercury (Hobart), 4th July 1952.
